Vanadium (V) is an excellent deoxidizer for steel. Steel with 0.5% vanadium can refine the grain size and increase the strength and toughness. Carbide vanadium and carbon formation, under high temperature and high pressure, can improve the corrosion resistance of hydrogen capacity. Maintain Proper Working Conditions The carbide formed by vanadium and carbon can improve the capacity of resistance to hydrogen attack. 
Tungsten (W) has a high melting point and is a heavy, noble alloy element. Tungsten carbide formed by tungsten and carbon has high hardness and good wear resistance. Adding tungsten in tool steel can significantly increase the red hardness and heat resistance, which can be used in cutting and forging stools.
